This 128,000 square foot facility contains classrooms, a large auditorium, the finance lab and trading floor, the Ozmen Center for Entrepreneurship, and the Student Outreach Center. In addition to these academic and advising spaces, there are multiple group study rooms, case-method classrooms, and computer labs on different floors. Pierce Donovan is working on problems involving endangered species conservation, land use, and climate change. Within these settings, his research emphasizes sustainable ecological-economic systems. He has developed cost-effective management plans for riparian species interaction and hydropower generation in the Grand Canyon ecosystem, bycatch management in California, and emissions abatement at a global scale. Professor Donovan teaches environmental economics and econometrics. In the former, students learn how to apply the principles of economics towards the design of sound environmental policy.
